Venice Community Housing is hosting its 23rd annual Jazz at Palms Court Champagne Brunch on September 20, 2015. This annual fundraising event directly benefits our neighborhood-based solutions to poverty and homelessness, which include nonprofit affordable housing, supportive services and economic development opportunities for low-income and formerly homeless people.

Event attendees enjoy a traditional brunch in a beautiful garden setting with a gourmet spread and live jazz performances. The popular silent auction will be open throughout the event, and a live auction will take place in the middle of the day’s program.

Tickets are $125.00 per person. Sponsorships are also available.

About Venice Community Housing:For over 25 years, Venice Community Housing (VCH) has provided permanent, affordable housing to low-income people in and around Venice. In 2013 VCH housed over 500 people in its 14 properties, including 150 children and 160 formerly homeless individuals.

  • Property Management – Management and maintenance of 195 units of affordable housing
  • Resident Services – A range of on-site family services, including case management, job readiness and financial literacy workshops to help residents achieve economic and personal stability
  • Venice YouthBuild – A comprehensive program providing education, job training and leadership development services to 40 out-of-school and out-of-work youth ages 17 to 24 each year to help them transition into successful adulthoods
  • After School Programs – Academic-focused after school activities, including tutoring, mentoring and recreation, serving over 100 children ages six to 18 annually
  • Teen Court – A peer-based program held at Venice High School that provides an alternative to the juvenile system for young people accused of first-time minor offenses and offering participants an inside view of the legal system
